Wednesday, May 24, 2023, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Universitas Indonesia (UI) and the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Mahidol University, held an online meeting to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two parties. So far, the two parties have worked well together in the field of higher education tridharma. At every international event held within the FPH UI, Mahidol University is always present making a meaningful contribution and participation. This meeting is an agenda that aims to strengthen cooperation so far in a wider area.
The online meeting was attended by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; Cooperation Manager, Alumni and Venture Relations, Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D.; Education Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.; Head of the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program, Dr. Ema Hermawati, S.K.M., M.Kes.; lecturer at FPH UI, Siti Arifah Pujonarti, M.Sc .; Abdul Kadir, M.Sc and Renti Mahkota, M.Epid. Meanwhile, from Mahidol University, the Dean of FPH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarawut Thepanondh; Deputy Dean for Educational Administration, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyanun Tangtong; Deputy Dean for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orawan Kaewboonchoo; Deputy Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pichitpong Soontornpipit, Winutda Ketkaow, and Mr. Julius Foo.
This meeting raised the discussion and interest of FPH Mahidol University in benchmarking the management and implementation of undergraduate and master study programs. According to FPH Mahidol, based on data from the last 5 (five) years, the study is compared with FPH UI, namely the ratio of the number of lecturers and students, the graduation rate, the dropout rate and the average study period, the absorption of graduates in the world of work and entrepreneurship, publications, the level of satisfaction of graduate users and research costs also did not escape the attention of FPH Mahidol University. FPH Mahidol University also expressed interest in undergoing AHPGS accreditation as has been taken by FPH UI. In line with the Mahidol spirit, FPH UI is also very interested in opening a collaboration in the form of a joint master and doctor in the field of epidemiology.
FPH UI and FPH Mahidol University plan to follow up on the ongoing discussions with an offline visit agenda. FPH Mahidol University also invites the participation of FPH UI academics to attend an international conference which they will hold at the end of September 2023. (sf)
