Thursday, January 5, 2023, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia held an offline meeting with Inje University Korea in the Professor’s Room, FPH UI. This meeting aims to sign a collaboration that will be carried out by FPH UI and Inje University. Present as FPH UI representatives were the Dean, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Sc.; Manager of Cooperation, Alumni Relations and Ventures, Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D.; Academic Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.; Head of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Study Program, Mila Tejamaya, S.Sc., MOHS., Ph.D.; as well as FPH UI lecturer, Dr. Ir. Sjahrul M. Nasri, M.Sc in Hyg.; Dr. dr. Zulkifli Djunaidi, M.App.Sc .; and Dr. Ir. Trini Sudiarti, M.Sc. Inje University representatives consist of six people, namely the Head of Occupational Safety and Health Engineering Department, Prof. Kim Tae Gu, Ph.D.; Professor in Korean Occupational Health and Safety Law, Prof. Cho Hm Hak, Ph.D.; Risk Assessment and Safety Engineering, Prof. Park Min Soo, Ph.D.; Noh Hyeon Jong, Hwang Seung Wan, and Aulia Rizky P.
The meeting began with remarks by Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; as representatives of FPH UI and Prof. Kim Tae Gu, Ph.D.; as a representative of Inje University. FPH UI welcomes the collaboration that will be carried out with Inje University. “This collaboration with Inje University in South Korea is very important to further expand and strengthen the educational and research collaboration network of FPH UI which is trying to improve its academic reputation at the international level, especially at the Asian level. Exchange of students and teaching staff, joint research and publication programs with international university partners and collaboration with the industrial world will be further strengthened by FPH UI in the coming years,” added Prof. Mondastri in his speech.
The signing of the cooperation agreement between FPH UI and Inje University includes all activities under the scope of higher education tridharma, namely in the fields of education, research, and community service. The collaboration that will be carried out includes a short mobility program, namely a short student exchange between FPH UI students (especially OHS students) and Inje University for two weeks. The program will be held in July 2023 for Inje University students and January 2024 for FKM UI students. In addition, joint research will be carried out between FPH UI and Inje University. This joint research is open to all lecturers from all departments of FPH UI. This joint research was carried out using a Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) grant from the Korea Development Institute (KDI) which is open to ASEAN countries.
This collaboration with Inje University proves FPH UI’s commitment to continue providing the highest quality education and continue to contribute to the international realm. The hope is that this collaboration can run smoothly and bring goodness to FPH UI and Inje University. (WR)
