On Friday-Sunday, 12-14 August 2022, an Introduction to the Faculty Academic System (PSAF) was held for new students of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Postgraduate Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) with the theme “Towards a Brighter, Stronger Future”. There were 49 new students for the doctoral program and 391 new students for the FPH UI master program class of 2022 who attended via Zoom Meeting.
The event, which was opened directly by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., has gone through a series of pre-events such as uploading a twibbon on Instagram. There is also the challenge of making reels regarding a series of PSAF activities to add to the event’s excitement.
On the first day, there was a delivery of curriculum and academic regulations by the Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc. “Academic regulations and curriculum have been contained in Chancellor Regulations Numbers 5 and 8 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Masters and Doctoral Programs at the Universitas Indonesia,” explained Dr. Love. Afterwards, the students were mobilized to breakout rooms according to their respective study programs to discuss with the Head of the Study Program. After the discussion, the students returned to the main room to listen to a presentation from the FPH UI Postgraduate Study Program Association (HMP), Academic Unit Seminar by Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.Kes., and Student Unit Seminar by the Student Affairs Manager, Dien Anshari, S.Sos., M.Sc., Ph.D.
On the second day, the event was opened with an Integrity Zone Socialization by Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Sc., Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration. The event continued with the Socialization of Journal Publications in the FKM Environment by Prof. Dr. dr. Dewi Susanna, M.Kes., Editor-in-chief of the National Journal of Public Health. At this event, candidates were also selected for the Chair of the FPH UI 2022 Postgraduate Force. The Force Chief must be the contact person for conveying information from external parties to the coordinator of specialization and is responsible for his class. On the second day, there was also a Socialization of New Student Mental Health by Ika Malika, M.Psi., Psychologist, “Mental health can be maintained by being aware of the symptoms of stress, living healthy and orderly, studying the support available in the environment, and expanding and strengthening relationships family and friendships,” said Ika while delivering her material on the mental health of new students. Another socialization was the socialization of the FPH UI Health Information Center by Arief Setiawan, S.Kom., as well as the introduction of MPM IM FPH UI 2022 by Natasya Oktifia.
The introduction of SIAK NG, EMAS, and other IT facilities was delivered by the FPH UI Information Technology Subunit Coordinator, Eddy Afriansyah, S.Kom., M.Sc., on the third day. After that, there was a presentation of material on Sexual Violence by Dr. Lidwina Inge Nurtiahyo, Campus Radicalism Issues by AKBP Mayndra Eka Wardhana, S.H., S.IK., M.K.P, and the introduction of BEM IM FKM UI 2022 by Muhammad Zikri. On this last day, Intan Permata Hati Gea, S.K.M., was elected Chair of the 2022 FPH UI Postgraduate Class.
“The hope is that from what was conveyed, starting from the meeting with 2021 students and the series of D-day events at PSAF, it can give new students an idea of how lectures are and can help friends from Class of 2022 in planning lectures at FKM UI until graduation. ,” said the FPH UI Postgraduate PSAF Project Officer, Deyo Alfa Christian, S.K.M.
