Dr. Ekowati Retnaningsih, SKM, MKes
Ekowati Retnaningsih is currently working as the Head of Office for the Research and Development Institute for the South Sumatra Province. This body is responsible for carrying out research and development in the field of domestic government in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
She received both her master’s and doctoral degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia in 2001 and 2005 respectively. She was given the best graduate award for her Master’s degree and she was also given the cum laude predicate and the fastest graduate to finish her study for her Doctoral degree. Up until 2008, she has done over 20 researches including “Technology Diffusion to Increase Income of the Poor” and “Study of Cost Effectiveness Model for Community Empowerment in 3 Districts of South Sumatra Province”.
