The Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) Master Study Program, Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) is currently in the process of submitting a re-certification application for study program accreditation which will expire in 2024. Monitoring and evaluation were held in the format of an Online Field Visitation/Assessment (ALD) event by Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) on Monday, May 29 2023. The assessment was led by Assessor dr. Onny Setiani, Ph.D. Meanwhile from FPH UI, the Dean, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Sc.; Quality Assurance Manager, Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc.; Education Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M., and Head of the OHS Masters Study Program, Dr. Dadan Erwandi, S.Psi., M.Sc.
“FPH and study programs always strive to improve quality in a sustainable manner. One of the ways to maintain the quality of study programs is by holding post-accreditation monitoring and evaluation. This monitoring and evaluation are very important because this year FPH UI will propose the OHS Master’s Study Program to get international accreditation from AHPGS, together with the Bachelor of Nutrition Study Program. Through this monitoring and evaluation, it is hoped that the OHS Master’s Study Program will be stronger and ready to face further objectives,” said the Dean of FPH UI at the opening of the monev.
Some of the information that can be highlighted in the monitoring and evaluation which is considered adequate is the number of teaching lecturers in the OHS Master’s Study Program who hold Doctoral degrees, all thesis advisors have Doctoral degrees and the number of students whose final assignment is part of the lecturer’s research. In terms of governance and management of study programs, it is considered good, where the Head of the Study Program has carried out organizational, operational, and public leadership well. A total of 55 research studies and 41 community services were carried out by the teaching staff of the OHS Master’s Study Program during 2020-2022 which were considered good achievements. In addition, the assessor suggested that the research and community service of the permanent lecturers of the OHS Master’s Study Program should be included in the BRP reference for the course.
Based on the results of this time’s ALD, the OHS Master’s Study Program will immediately follow up with improvements and completeness which will be submitted in 2023. (Sf)
