The International Teleconference on Technology and Policy in Supporting Implementation of COVID-19 (ITTP-COVID19) is a consortium initiated in 2021 engaging 27 universities in Southeast Asia, supported by the ASEAN Secretariat and the ASEAN University Network (AUN).
The ITTP-COVID19 aims to build a common platform to exchange ideas and insights about the COVID-19 pandemic based on research and experience, formulate policy recommendations, and identify relevant technologies to support COVID-19 recovery plans.
“This year, Universitas Indonesia will be the host to hold the 2nd ITTP-COVID-19. The conference will discuss how to handle the COVID-19 pandemic and joint recovery until endemic in Southeast Asia based on three clusters: health sciences, social sciences, and engineering and natural sciences,” said President of the Conference, dr. Agustin Kusumayati, M.Sc., Ph.D, at the opening of the Scientific Committee meeting on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022.
The meeting took place online via Zoom Meeting moderated by Prof. Dr. Fatma Lestari, M.Sc., Ph.D as the Scientific Committee Leader and attended by stakeholders from the universities in the Southeast Asia region.
The purpose of the scientific committee meeting is to discuss various agendas, namely the role of the scientific committee; general plans and important dates, collection of abstracts and papers, collaborative mechanisms, promotion strategies, and the next SC agenda.
At this meeting, a cluster leader selection session was also held to support the role of the scientific committee. Prof. Dr. drg. Indang Trihandini, M.Kes. (FKM UI) is selected as Health Science Cluster Leader and Arnold Japutra (FEB UI) as Social Science Cluster Leader.
Important dates for the 2nd ITTP-COVID19 agenda are June 12th, 2022 for abstract collection deadline and August 6-8th, 2022 for a conference as the peak of event. For further information, please access the website https://scifes.fkm.ui.ac.id /ittp. (AHS)
