Internship Opportunity at PT Komatsu Undercarriage Indonesia

PT Komatsu Undercarriage Indonesia (PT KUI) was founded on November 9, 2000. It was the first Komatsu component manufacturer outside of Japan. The purpose of establishing PT KUI is as a foundation for the original supply of Komatsu undercarriage products to be distributed throughout the world. Having its own factory in Cikarang, West Java, PT KUI produces link, roller, idler and related undercarriage components.

It is very common for students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia to participate in an internship program in a factory setting, specifically those who majored in Occupational Health and Safety. However in 2021, there was only one student from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia who participated as an intern for three months at PT KUI’s factory. During the internship period, the student was assigned to conduct safety training, safety inspection and safety induction, as well as planning a risk management plan for the company’s latest project.
