Shopee Indonesia is a subsidiary of Shopee, the Singapore-based e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. It is a platform tailored for the region, providing customers with an easy, secure and fast online shopping experience through strong payment and logistical support. Shopee was first launched in Singapore in 2015, and has since expanded its reach to Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. Currently, Shopee Indonesia has several office locations and warehouses to support their activities.
Every year, Shopee Indonesia always opens internship opportunities for college students. Despite the fact that the company is a tech-based company, Shopee Indonesia always opens internship opportunities for students from any major. In 2021, there were five students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia who got the opportunity to participate in the internship program there. The internship was conducted at Shopee Indonesia’s headquarter in Sudirman, South Jakarta and lasted for three months. During the internship period, students were assigned to assist in various projects at Shopee Indonesia.
