Unilever Indonesia is a subsidiary of Unilever, a fast moving consumer goods company based in London, United Kingdom. Since entering Indonesia in 1933, Unilever Indonesia has grown to become one of the leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies in Indonesia that always accompany people’s daily lives through a variety of products. Currently, Unilever Indonesia, headquartered in Tangerang, has more than 40 brands and 9 factories located in the industrial areas of Jababeka, Cikarang and Rungkut, Surabaya.
As a multinational company, an internship at Unilever Indonesia is very hard to get. The number of applicants for the internship opportunity was really high, but the company only accepted about 50 college students to participate. In 2021, there was a student from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia who majored in Occupational Health and Safety who got the opportunity to participate in the internship program there. The student was assigned to intern at Unilever Indonesia’s Supply Chain Team. During the internship period, the student assisted in customer service excellence planning and logistics as well as supply management procurement.
