UNICEF Jordan Country Office invites applications from students enrolled in Masters’ programme for a FULL-TIME INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME FROM 1 JULY TO 31 AUGUST 2015.
Conceived as part of a broader initiative to build Knowledge Management on Children in Jordan, UNICEF Jordan partners with research and academic institutions to encourage young students and scholars from around the world to engage in development issues pertaining to Jordan’s children and women. The internship offers an opportunity to explore issues related to a variety of areas such as child protection, health and nutrition, education, and water and sanitation within a “social cohesion” theme that was launched in response to the Syria emergency, and the influx of refugees to Jordan. The assignment involves a combination of desk and field work, and interns will be grouped into
teams of 2 or 3, and work under the supervision of selected research section staff.
Applicants should be enrolled in a Masters-level programme or a higher degree programme, in one of the following disciplines including, but not limited to: anthropology, child psychology, demography, economics, education, engineering, human rights, international development, journalism, legal studies, public health, public administration, rural development, sociology, statistics and social work. Those who have completed their Masters level graduate programmes in 2014, are also eligible to apply. Applicants are expected to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships with individuals from different backgrounds. Applicants
should have excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Short-listed applicants whose English is not the first language may be subject to a telephone interview.
For more information, please find attached herewith (1) the application form, and (2) the guidelines for the application process. Applications to be sent to email@example.com. Application deadline is 7 MAY,2015.
