Environmental education measures

The Department of Environmental Health has a student association called the Environmental Health Study Association (Envihsa). They have a work program called Envicare, in which they aim to provide education to the public regarding environmental issues, especially waste processing which if not managed properly can affect global climate change. This activity takes the form of ecobrick manufacturing held at RW 19 Kampung Lio, Depok.

The Department of Social and Community Affairs of the Student Executive Board held an event to commemorate National Health Day. The activities included tree planting together with partners to support the implementation of activities at the Mangrove Ecotourism at Pantai Indah Kapuk Center.

The lecturers at the Faculty of Public Health are actively involved in climate change activities, one of which is by being a source person at several seminar activities.

In October 2022, a National Environmental Health Seminar was held online through Zoom and inviting speakers:

4) Prof. Dr. Budi Haryanto, BSc, BSPH, MSPH, MSc, FCR (Lecturer at FKM UI)

5) Fasya Adzani and Amira Widya (University of Indonesia Students)

The aim of the seminar are:

1) Provide comprehensive knowledge about environmental issues that pose a threat to human life,

2) Facilitate the dissemination of information about Indonesia’s and global readiness to face the threat of environmental problems.
