PT Mitra Iswara & Rorimpandey (MIR) Indonesia is an insurance broker company located in Jakarta. Established in 1975, the company is the oldest privately owned insurance broker in Indonesia. As the oldest insurance broker company in Indonesia, MIR has more than 20 international broker networks and partners, more than 140 insurance partners, and more than 7000 clients. Every year, MIR always opens internship opportunities for college students. But since the company is the oldest insurance broker company in Indonesia, the number of applicants for the internship opportunity was really high.
Fortunately in 2021, a student from Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia managed to join the internship program provided by MIR. The student who joined the internship program is an undergraduate student who specializes in Health Insurance Management. The internship was conducted at MIR’s headquarter in Slipi, West Jakarta for three months. During the internship period, the student was given the opportunity to learn about how to process claims, how to check the eligibility of the claim, as well as how to market the company’s insurance products.
