Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Pemangkat or Pemangkat Regional General Hospital is a Type C Hospital located in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. It provides healthcare services including maternity and neonatal, cardiovascular, dentistry, nutritional care, and other supporting services such as emergency unit, laboratorium tests, and pharmacy. It is operated by the government and staffed by a group of general practitioners and nurses.
It is very common for students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia to participate in an internship program held by a General Hospital. However in 2021, there was only one student from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia who participated as an intern for three months at Pemangkat Regional General Hospital. During the internship period, the student was given the opportunity to participate in environmental inspection performed by the Hospital’s Sanitarian. The student was also given the opportunity to learn more about environmental inspection in Hospital setting.
