RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) is a government run hospital located in Central Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. Established in 1919, the hospital was named after Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, an Indonesian independence warrior. Aside from being a government run hospital, it also serves as a teaching hospital. RSCM provides primary, secondary and tertiary care as it’s a national referral center for other government hospitals. The hospital has almost all advanced diagnostic and therapeutic medical technology in Indonesia.
It is very common for students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia to participate in an internship program held by a General Hospital. In 2021, there were 54 students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia who participated as an intern for three months at RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo. During the internship period, the students who majored in Nutritional Science were assigned to assist the Nutrition Counselor to prepare meal plans for patients, measuring the appropriate nutritional intake for patients, and to join the Nutrition Counselor during patients visit.
