I. Latar Belakang
Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia (PSSKM UI) diselenggarakan oleh Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia (FKMUI). FKM UI secara resmi berdiri pada tanggal 1 Juli 1965 berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Menteri Perguruan Tinggi dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Nomor 153 Tahun 1965. FKMUI merupakan fakultas ke tiga belas di lingkungan Universitas Indonesia. Berdirinya FKM UI pada tahun 1965 berlandaskan keinginan untuk mendidik dan menghasilkan tenaga-tenaga di bidang Kesehatan Masyarakat guna meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat serta mampu menangani masalah bidang Kesehatan Masyarakat di Indonesia.

Berdasarkan kesepakatan antara Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat dengan organisasi profesi bahwa tujuan berdirinya PSSKM UI adalah menghasilkan sarjana (S1) yang memiliki jati diri dan ciri kompetensi yang sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu dan teknologi kesehatan masyarakat serta mampu mendukung program pembangunan kesehatan di Indonesia melalui kebijakan khususnya di bidang kesehatan masyarakat.

1.1 Visi Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat
Menjadi program studi unggul dalam menghasilkan Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat yang mampu berperan aktif dalam mengatasi masalah kesehatan masyarakat pada tingkat global, melalui proses pendidikan, riset dan pengabdian masyarakat pada tahun 2015.

1.2 Misi Program Studi

Melaksanakan program pendidikan kesehatan masyarakat yang menekankan pada kemampuan memecahkan masalah kesehatan masyarakat dan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat dalam era globalisasi
Mengupayakan kegiatan penelitian yang mempunyai kontribusi pada kemajuan ilmu dan tekonologi di bidang kesehatan masyarakat
Melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk memecahkan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di instansi pemerintah dan swasta dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pendidikan tinggi di bidang kesehatan masyarakat secara global.
Mendidik generasi yang unggul, kreatif, inovatif, memiliki wawasan global, memiliki kompetensi di bidang kesehatan masyarakat, dan memiliki kepedulian terhadap permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat.

II. Gambaran Umum Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat
UI (Universitas Indonesia) berdiri sejak tahun 1849. Pada awal berdirinya UI hanya mempunyai satu cabang keilmuan yaitu Ilmu Kedokteran. UI terus mengalami perkembangan keilmuan. Hingga saat ini UI mempunyai sejumlah disiplin ilmu yang tercakup dalam tiga rumpun keilmuan yaitu:

Rumpun Ilmu Sains dan teknologi (Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Teknik dan Ilmu Komputer)
Rumpun Ilmu Sosial humaniora (Fakultas Ekonomi, Hukum, Ilmu Sosial Politik, Psikologi dan Ilmu Budaya)
Rumpun Ilmu Kesehatan (Fakultas Kedokteran, Kedokteran Gigi, Farmasi, Ilmu Keperawatan, dan Kesehatan Masyarakat.
Ketiga rumpun keilmuan diatas dijabarkan kedalam keilmuan program studi yang berjumlah 13 fakultas dan satu program vokasi.

Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat merupakan salah satu program studi yang berada di bawah naungan Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitasi Indonesia. III. Kriteria Penerimaan Mahasiswa Program Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat
Siswa yang telah lulus SMA dan telah mengikuti lolos seleksi penerimaan Program Studi Sarjana kesehatan Masyarakat. Jalur penerimaan Program Studi Sarjana di UI terdiri dari tiga jalur yaitu lulus seleksi SNMPTN (Sistem Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri) undangan, lulus ujian SBMPTN dan lulus ujian SIMAK UI (Sistem Masuk UI). V. Strategi Pembelajaran Dalam rangka Mencapai Hasil Yang Maksimal
Program studi menggunakan SKS (satuan kredit semester) sebagai ukuran beban studi mahasiswa, ukuran keberhasilan usaha belajar mahasiswa, ukuran untuk menyelesaikan suatu program studi, dan ukuran beban pengajaran bagi dosen. Cara menghitung ukuran sks adalah satu sks perkuliahan terdiri dari 1 jam tatap muka, 1-2 jam tugas terstruktur, 1-2 jam tugas mandiri.

Metode pengajaran bervariasi, tetapi pada prinsipnya adalah student center learning, terdiri dari tatap muka, diskusi, tugas-tugas, praktikum di laboratorium dan di lapangan (wilayah kerja puskesmas), problem based learning (PBL), collaborative learning (CL), experiential learning (EL), Question Based Learninig (QBL), Case Based Discussion (CBD) dan bermain peran. Beberapa mata kuliah mengharuskan mahasiswa bekerja dalam kelompok, satu kelompok terdiri dari 5 orang. Setiap kelompok diberi kesempatan untuk menyerahkan bukti kerja, melaporkan dan menyajikan hasil kerjanya di kelas. Pada akhir semester mahasiswa diberi kesempatan untuk melakukan penelitian ilmiah dengan bimbingan seorang dosen.

Pada setiap akhir semester mahasiswa akan memperoleh nilai dari setiap mata kuliah yang diikuti. Penilaian dari suatu mata kuliah terdiri dari tugas mahasiswa, penyajian hasil kerja, laporan hasil kerja, kuis, ujian tengah semester, dan ujian akhir semester.

Jadwal perkuliahan dilaksanakan dalam semester, satu semester terdiri dari 14-16 sesi (minggu). Mahasiswa wajib hadir di kelas minimal kehadiran 75%.

VI. Struktur Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat
Mahasiswa dinyatakan lulus Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat apabila telah:

menyelesaikan beban studi minimum 144 sks,
mempunyai indeks prestasi kumulatif ≥2,74,
menyelesaikan kuliah praktek lapangan.
menyelesaikan skripsi.

Setelah dinyatakan lulus oleh Program Studi mahasiswa akan menerima:

VII. Kualitas Indikator
Dalam rangka menjamin mutu pengajaran. Badan Penjaminan mutu UI mempunyai indikator untuk mutu suatu program studi. Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat mengacu pada indikator tersebut, yang terdiri dari penjaminan mutu: landasan ideal, manajemen mutu akademik, kurikulum dan mahasiswa, dosen, prasarana dan sarana akdemik, penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat.

VIII. Pendukung Pembelajaran

8.1 Fakultas
Pada hari pertama mahasiswa diterima di Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat, mahasiswa akan memperoleh informasi mengenai struktur manajemen fakultas, departemen, program studi, kurikulum, laboratorium dan fasilitas pendukung lainnya pada program studi. Pada semester pertama, Mahasiswa dapat langsung mempunyai pembimbing akademik, pembimbing akademik bertugas memantau perkembangan akademik dan non akademik mahasiswa setiap semester. Mahasiswa dapat berkomunikasi dengan pembimbing akademik melalui telepon, pesan singkat, SIAK NG, email, atau bertemu langsung dengan perjanjian.

Setiap semester, fakultas, departemen dan program studi secara bersama-sama mengelola proses belajar mengajar mahasiswa. Pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar terdiri dari pengelolaan kelas, penetapan penanggung jawab mata ajar, penyusunan buku rancangan pengajaran/silabus, sistim penilaian, dan lain-lainl.

8.2 Universitas
Setelah mahasiswa diterima pada Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat mahasiswa berhak mempunyai NPM dan kartu mahasiswa, mempunyai akses ke SIAK NG (kalender akademik, jadwal perkuliahan, Isian rencana Studi, indeks prestasi kumulatif, kode mata kuliah, nama mata kuliah, beban sks mata kuliah, nama pengajar mata kuliah), memperoleh kata sandi untuk dapat mengakses internet di lingkungan kampus, memperoleh buku pedoman peraturan akademik UI dan fasilitas pendukung lainnya yang ada di UI. IX. Metode Untuk Mengevaluasi dan Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran
Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, setiap awal semester program studi mengadakan rapat rutin membahas materi kuliah dan metode pangajaran. Evaluasi perkuliahan dilakukan setiap semester melalui EDOM (evaluasi dosen oleh mahasiswa), setiap tahun program studi dapat mengadakan perubahan kecil dengan persetujuan Dekan, Senat Akademik Fakultas, dan disyahkan oleh Rektor UI. Setiap lima tahun, program studi akan ditinjau ulang oleh Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi, dan akan mendapat surat keterangan mengenai status dari program studi.

X. Spesifikasi Program informatif, dikomunikasikan dan Tersedia Bagi Pemangku Kepentingan

PROGRAMME SPECIFICATION

To increase health status, the efforts must be comprehensive, in high quality, and ensured the equity and equality in effective and efficient manner, using public health and medical approaches. According to Leavell and Clark (1965)1, who introduced the concept of prevention level comprising of primary prevention (promotion and specific protection), secondary prevention (early diagnosis and prompt treatment), and tertiary prevention (disability limitation and rehabilitation), public health and medicine can contribute to every level. Nonetheless, public health is known to have population as the primary focus, and emphasize on disease prevention and health promotion for the whole community ( http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/ about/public-health-medicine ) . Prevention is the soul of public health, and it must be the spirit of health programs.

In response to the Indonesia’s health problem, the improvement of input factors is impeccable, and human resource is the one that has to be managed systematically. Therefore the human resources in health or health workforce must have strong public health paradigm, and implement a wide spectrum of intervention with the target of environment, human behavior and lifestyle as well as medical care.

In 1982, Faculty of Public Health Universitas Indonesia (FPHUI) worked along with SPH University of Hawai to make a development about 5 FPH in Indonesia with FPHUI as the leader. The aim is to provide a sustainable source of trained public health manpower with the technical knowledge and skills to manage public health and population services systems with emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion.

UI keeps having development, and at this time being there are 13 faculties clustered into three, in addition to one vocational program.

Faculty of Public Health firstly has delivered postgraduate study program since 1965. Due to the MONE regulation, in 1989 FPHUI started to open undergraduate study program of Public Health. Table in above depicts the program specification of the undergraduate study program of public health. Admission criteria or requirements to the programme
There are three ways of admission to enroll inthe undergraduate study program in UI such as written in https://penerimaan.ui.ac.id .

National Selection to Higher Education or SBMPTN (SeleksiBersamaMasukPerguruanTinggiNegeri).
Selection held by UI for enrolling in UI or SIMAK (SeleksiMasuk UI).
Through the invitation addressed to chosen students with highest academic achievement belong to the well-recognized school (SNMPTN or Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri ).

For entering and enroll in the undergraduate study program, the students have to pass the National Examination of Senior High School (grade 12), and in particular for the Undergraduate Program in Public Health, students come from the Senior High School with majoring in science.

The undergraduate program in public health provides the information on the program outcomes uses the references from various regulation and evidences. UPPHUI does not have benchmarks, but is active in regional and national public health organisations. To produce graduates with high knowledge and skills in understanding public health problems, problem solving, implementing public health solution, and long life learning.

Teaching, learning and assessment strategies to enable outcomes to be achieved demonstrated
The study program uses the semester credit unit (SCU or S KS = satuan kredit semester ), which is the standard measurement of study load including teaching and learning load and the achievement to accomplish the study. One SCU is defined as the one hour of meeting between student and the academic staff, in addition to one to two hours of structured work, and one to two hours of independent work, calculated in one week, for 16 weeks per semester.

The principles of learning method applied are active learning, i.e. problem based learning, collaborative learning, experiential learning, question based learning, case based discussion, and role play, through various approach such as lecture, discussion, practice in lab and or in the field (such as in the institution of hospital, primary health center, or others). Majority of courses design the course work in a group approach, therefore the students work in a team consisting of around 5-10 members. The result of group or team work is reported and or presented in the class. At the last semester (8 th semester), the student apply his/her knowledge to practice a small scale research under the supervision and advise of one assigned academic staff.

To show the academic achievement, the students are evaluated and get their grades based on their course at the end of the semester. In each course, the evaluation scheme of the course employs the mid and final semester examination, and can be in the form of close-book exam, open-book exam, take-home exam, in addition to quiz, weekly work, individually or group approach. The students are required to be present at the class at least 12 sessions out of 16 sessions per semester.

Structure of curriculum and requirements including levels, modules, credits
The structure of the curriculum is designed following the UI as well as MONE regulation. The student is determined to have degree of Bachelor of Public Health if she/he has fulfilled the following requirements:

Accomplishment of minimally 144 SCU,
GPA (academic achievement) at the end of the study time is minimally ≥2 .00,
Accomplishment of Fieldwork Practice
Accomplishment of the script or project (as the final paper) approved by student’s adviser
Pass the final examination, in which the student is examined by additional two examiners (one assigned UI academic staff, and one selected non UI expert, with the adviser as being the moderator).

Quality indicators
In regard to assure the academic quality, the Board of Quality Assurance in UI determines the indicators. The study program of public health refers those indicators, which consists of ideological consideration, academic quality management, curriculum, students, academic staff, facility and infrastructure, research and community services. Modules are provided by UI.

Faculty support
In the time of commencement, the students are received formally by the study program in a meeting, which provides the information on the structured management of the faculty, department, study program, curriculum, laboratory, and facilities and infrastructure provided by UI. At the first semester, the student has adviser (assigned academic staff) who will advise and supervise the progress of academic and non-academic process. The student can communicate with the advisor directly face to face, via telephone, SMS, SIAK-NG, or email.
In the beginning of the semester, for the purpose of course management, the faculty, department, and the study program arrange the schedule of courses, class-room utilization, assigning the academic staff who is responsible for running the courses and their work-load, content, method of teaching and learning, evaluation, preparation, of teaching materials such as modules, text-book, journals.
University support
The announcement of acceptance to enroll in the study program is conducted by UI. At the first time of registration, UI will give the student ID card and his/her student number, the special password to access the SIAK-NG (to get information on the academic calendar, name of courses, SCU, name of lecturer) as well as the internet connection in campus. Additionally, the students are given the guideline of academic matters including UI regulations and facilities provided in UI campuses. Methods for evaluating and improving the quality and standards of learning
In regard to improve the teaching and learning quality, in the beginning of the semester, the department as well as the study program run a meeting, attended by academic staff, aims to refresh the tutors or facilitators or lecturers , in addition to routine meeting to prepare the course materials.

Approaching the end of the semester, UI has designed a form for evaluation namely EDOM, filled by the students, to evaluate every single lecturer or academic staff, in every course. The raw data are gathered by UI, then are analyzed by Unit for Academic Quality Assurance (UPMA). The result as a feedback is given to the head of the department and personally to the respective academic staff or lecturer. The undergraduate study program of public health has just been accredited as being “A” in the year 2014, and it will be lasted in 2019. Previously, for the year of 2008 to 2013, the accreditation was also as being “A” or the highest.
