The Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Universitas Indonesia (UI), has again demonstrated its commitment to implementing anti-corruption and bribery commitments within the faculty. On 5-6 December 2022, FPH UI underwent an audit process to obtain ISO 37001:2016 certification online.
ISO 37001;2016 is an anti-bribery quality management system (SMAP). ISO 37001;2016 SMAP can be applied to private organizations, public organizations, associations, and individuals. The objectives and uses of implementing ISO 37001;2016 are to prevent, detect and prepare responses to the risk of bribery, as quality and trust control, reduce costs, obtain international recognition/accreditation, and form an anti-bribery culture in the organization.
The audit process, carried out online, was attended by the Faculty Administration Center (PAF) within FPH UI. At this stage, auditors from Garuda Indonesia Certification, consisting of Johny S. Salim, I Made Dwi Bhaskara Nugraha, Kadek Ayu Irma Hilmiafani, and Gede Pujaastawan, carry out audits based on clauses for each work unit.
“The great commitment and seriousness of the organization, both leaders and staff, with the creation of a Corruption-Free Area Integrity Zone and towards a Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area has made FPH successful in implementing anti-corruption commitments in its faculties. Thus, this audit only found a few minor findings and observations. With the implementation of ISO SMAP, it is hoped that it will be easier for FPH to go to WBBM,” said Lead Auditor Johny S. Salim at the closing meeting.
After going through 2 audit stages, namely document audit and Faculty Administrative Center (PAF) audit, FPH UI finally received a recommendation to obtain ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) certification. Obtaining the ISO 37001: 2016 SMAP certification recommendation is a strong capital for FPH UI to continue the struggle to get the title of Zone of Integrity for the Clean Serving Bureaucracy Region (WBBM).
