After going through various series, it was time to announce the winner of the Achievement Student Selection (Pilmapres) of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Univeritas Indonesia (UI). This announcement was made online via the Zoom Meetings platform on Friday, March 24, 2023. Apart from the finalists and the jury, the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., as well as supervisors from the finalists.
At the beginning of the election process, there were 7 (seven) participants who submitted Pilmapres files. The 7 participants were given 2 (two) trainings: scientific writing and English presentation. “Even though there had been changes to the timeline, the FPH UI Pilmapres could still be completed well,” said the FPH UI Student Affairs Manager and Chair of the FPH UI 2023 Pilmapres Committee, Dien Anshari, S.Sos., M.Sc., Ph.D.
The seven participants were then selected to become five finalist candidates by the jury considering the value of Creative Ideas (GK) and Excellent Achievements (CU). The five selected finalists will then present their GK in English. The assessment was carried out by a team of judges consisting of Popy Yuniar, S.K.M., M.M., Ph.D., from the Department of Biostatistics and Population Sciences; Dr. Hendra, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., from the Department of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS); Wahyu Kurnia Yusrin Putra, S.K.M., M.K.M., from the Department of Nutrition; Tiara Amelia, S.K.M., M.Sc., from the Department of Health Education and Behavioral Sciences (PKIP); Dr. Al-Asyary, S.K.M., M.P.H., from the Department of Environmental Health; Dr. drg. Masyitoh, M.A.R.S., from the Department of Health Administration and Policy (AKK); and Dr. err. medic. drg. Dwi Gayatri, M.P.H., from the Department of Epidemiology.
“Everyone has shown extraordinary achievements as a finalist, whatever the result, don’t feel disappointed,” said Prof. Mondastry. After saying a few words, the Dean of FPH UI announced the winners.
The third winner of the 2023 FPH UI Pilmapres is Davin Edbert Yang, Regular Undergraduate Student in Nutrition with the title GK “BAGI: Nutrition Bartering as a Cooperative Flagship Program to Fight Stunting or Empowerment-Based Nutrition”. The second winner went to Kristina Adjie, 2020 Regular Undergraduate Student in Nutrition, with the title GK “The Hope for Smart Mothers Program: Reward Learning System for Pre-Prosperous Communities as a Strategy to Create a Stunting-Free Generation”. Finally, as the Main Achievement Student is Alifa Ayuni Prasetyo, 2020 Environmental Health Regular Undergraduate Student, with the title GK “Waste for Wealth Id: Sustainable Sanitation Program through Modular Toilets Producing Renewable Energy that Increases the Environmental Health Index in Indonesia”.
The three winners, finalists and semifinalists will receive cash prizes and special merchandise from FPH UI. Congratulations to the winners of the 2023 FPH UI Pilmapres and fighting spirit for Alifa who will represent FPH UI at the upcoming UI Pilmapres. “For those who want to participate next year, in fact everything that has passed illustrates that effort and hard work never betray results,” Alifa concluded in his speech.
