Three education staff (tendik) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Faculty of Public Health (FPH) won 2 categories in the UI Innovating 2023 Education Staff event which was announced during the Independence Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia, 17 August 2023 at UI Rotunda. The three winners are Fikri Wijaya, S.Sos., Coordinator of the FPH UI Pusinfokesmas, won 1st place in the Individual Category for Librarian; Eddy Afriansyah, M.Sc., Coordinator of the FPH UI Information Technology Unit, won 2nd place in the Information Technology Individual Category, and Nico Kurnia Pratama, S.T., won 3rd place in the Information Technology Individual Category.
UI Education Personnel innovate is an annual event aimed at every educational staff who has innovations or new things implemented in work units to help smooth processes and work efficiency to improve service to stakeholders.
Fikri Wijaya submitted an innovative work entitled “Best Practice for Comprehensive Search Services for Systematic Reviews at Pusinfokesmas UI”. “The Comprehensive Tracing Service for SysRev is a development provided by the late. Prof. Wibowo’s sister to Pusinfokesmas in April 2020 in supporting literature search activities for Sysrev and Scoping Review. Many benefits have been felt from this comprehensive literature search activity so that Pusinfokesmas opened a comprehensive search service,” said Fikri Wijaya.
Pusinfokesmas formulates two special services to assist all users (students and researchers) who carry out systematic reviews at FPH UI. These two services are designed to optimize the research process and produce quality systematic review studies. The first service, “Facilitator and Comprehensive Search Recommendations,” is a discussion and question and answer where users can receive advice from librarians on how to formulate an effective search strategy and choose the right resources for systematic review research. The second service, “Systematic and Comprehensive Collaborative Search/Search,” includes active collaboration with librarians throughout the research process.
Meanwhile, from the field of Information Technology, Eddy Afriansyah submitted an innovation work entitled “Development of Information Systems for Quarterly Performance Achievements (SISKA)”. The SISKA application is used to enter quarterly performance achievement data from each unit and department. With this application, units and leaders can monitor the achievements of each indicator whether they have met it or not by referring to the targets from the performance contract (Kokin). “One of the goals of creating the SISKA application is to provide a web-based Performance Management Application that can support the tasks and functions of each study program/unit effectively and efficiently so as to facilitate the process of managing performance achievement data,” said Eddy Afriansyah.
Furthermore, Nico Kurnia Pratama’s innovative work is “Application for Requesting Academic and Student Letters”. The PERMISA application is an innovation that aims to facilitate the process of academic correspondence for students and alumni. The background for making this application originates from the awareness of the importance of improving the administrative system related to correspondence in an academic environment. “The solid team support allows me to produce effective and efficient applications in a relatively short time. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, the PERMISA application became even more important and useful. In situations that limit physical interaction, the existence of this application allows students and alumni to process their academic correspondence online, reducing dependence on manual processes that are time-consuming and complicated,” explained Nico.
We hope that all the innovative works produced by FPH UI staff can provide real benefits in supporting the smooth running and efficiency of work processes. Likewise, it is hoped that this brilliant achievement will inspire and encourage all FPH UI students to create new innovations and achieve the same achievements in the future. Congratulations on your achievement, thank you for working for FPH UI. FPH UI is proud! (wrk)
