Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) underwent an Academic Internal Audit (AIA) for the Public Health Masters Study Program. This Internal Audit is one of the efforts to prepare for the re-accreditation of the Public Health Master’s Study Program which is planned to be carried out in October 2023. This event was attended by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc.; FPH UI Academic Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.; Head of the FPH UI Public Health Masters Study Program, Dr. Budi Hartono, S.Si., M.K.M.; Head of FPH UI Academic Quality Assurance Unit, Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc.; Head of the Auditor Team, Dr. dr. Wresti Indriatmi, Sp.KK(K)., M.Epid.; Prof. apt. Rani Sauriasari, M.Med.Sci., Ph.D., who acted as the Auditor Team; as well as several other stakeholders.
“We are all excited to receive direction and guidance. So far, we have succeeded in receiving the predicate of excellence with the direction of Dr. Wresti. Hopefully this time, together with Prof. Rani, we can get the title of excellence again,” said Prof. Mondastry. The speech was welcomed by Prof. Rani as the Auditor Team, “We share information with each other, reciprocal, because from us the auditor team also wants to know a lot about what is happening in the Public Health Master’s Study Program of FPH UI.”
There are 36 indicators in this Academic Internal Audit. Of all the existing indicators, the Public Health Master’s Study Program of FPH UI has succeeded in obtaining the title of Very Good in more than 20 indicators, including the mechanism of the internal quality assurance system, cooperation, academic service satisfaction, permanent lecturers with a minimum position of head lecturer at UPPS, the percentage of the number of lecturers variable on the total number of lecturers, the amount of lecturer research funds in the last three years, the level of satisfaction of graduate supervisors, research outputs, thesis guidance, the average number of meetings during the mentoring period, the thesis supervisor qualifications, and the waiting period for graduates. For indicators where there are still discrepancies (KTS), the auditor team also provides recommendations for improvements to each indicator.
Overall, there are still a number of things that can be improved in terms of efforts to improve the quality and quality of education from the Public Health Master’s Study Program of FPH UI. It is hoped that this AIA can be constructive input for FPH UI in creating a quality academic environment and increasing readiness for re-accreditation at the end of the year. (BK)
