Saturday, December 10, 2022, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH), Universitas Indonesia (UI), which was driven by students of the Public Health (IKM) Doctoral Study Program Class of 2022, held an international online seminar entitled “Towards System of ‘SATUSEHAT’ in Indonesia: Opportunities and Challenges from Public Health Perspectives”. Filled in by speakers from 4 (four) countries at once, the seminar which was included in the 22nd FPH UI online seminar series received very high enthusiasm from the public. Thousands of people attended both via Zoom Meetings and YouTube. Unmitigated, the participants will also receive accreditation certificates from 6 (six) professional organizations, as well as the opportunity to win various attractive door prizes. “I can see the potential of the participants who attended. I hope that this webinar can provide a lot of good for health transformation, especially the SATUSEHAT system in Indonesia,” said UI Chancellor, Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., in his speech.
As the keynote speaker, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin. As a guest speaker, the Chief Operating Officer of the Digital Transformation Office of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Daniel Oscar Baskoro; Occupational Health Lead in Google Health from the People’s Republic of China, dr. Melvin Seng, MBA., MPH.; Head of the Asian e-Health Information Network (AeHIN) from Thailand, dr. Boonchai Kijsanayotin, M.S., Ph.D.; Consultant at the De Martinis Telemedicine Panel from Italy, Prof. Nando Campanella, Ph.D.; and also the FPH UI lecturer who acts as Moderator, Prof. dr. Kemal Nazaruddin Siregar, S.K.M., M.A., Ph.D.
SATUSEHAT is a system that can transform health in Indonesia. This will also have a positive impact on the health sector in Indonesia. “The pandemic has revealed weaknesses in the system that has been running manually so far, improvements have been made using technology,” said Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin. At the presentation by the Representative of the Ministry of Health, Daniel said that SATUSEHAT opens collaboration opportunities for various sectors, including educational institutions, the health technology industry, communities, Start-Ups, health facilities, and also insurance providers. This is an invitation for the attendees to work together to create a better health system.
From abroad, the speakers conveyed their experiences in their respective countries and fields. Dr. Melvin said that Digital Health saves up to 5x expenses due to high follow-up rates. From Thailand, dr. Boonchai conveyed the approach his country has taken to health data standards. Finally, Prof. Nando conveyed the role of Electronic Health Records in reducing medical errors in transition services.
There are also sessions for presenting research results which are divided into 3 (three) breakout rooms. This session was attended by doctors who graduated from FPH UI consisting of Dr. dr. Ekorini Listiowati, MMR., with the title “Patient Engagement Model in Efforts to Improve Patient Safety at Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Hospital”; Dr. dr. Agung Cahyono Triwibowo, M.Sc., with the title “Development of Public Safety Center Management Assessment Instruments in Handling Clinical Emergency Patients in Indonesia”; Dr. Avliya Quratul Marjan, S.Gz., M.Sc., with the title “Catch-up Growth and Cognitive Ability of Indonesian Children: IFLS Longitudinal Data Analysis”; Dr. Kencana Sari, M.P.H., with the title “Factors Related to Catch up Growth on Stunted Children”; Dr. Dewi Nirmala Sari, S.K.M., M.Biomed., with the title “Symptom Screening of Anxiety and Depression in Pregnant Women based on an Expert System in Antenatal Care”; and Dr. dr. Farida Briani, SpB(K)Onk., with the title “Development of the “Mammsip” Application Digital Education Model to Intervene Delays in Breast Cancer Diagnosis in Indonesia”.
