The 2022 Depok Free Stunting Creative Solution Competition is a program organized by the Depok City Government and the Depok City Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) to provide support for government programs to reduce stunting cases. Through the “Depok Free Stunting 2022” event, it is hoped that there will be synergy between the government and the community to jointly find the best solutions, innovations and recommendations in reducing the issue of stunting through digital and social innovation.
Announced as the winner on December 11, 2022 at Kode Creative Hub, Depok Town Square, this competition has been held since November 24, 2022, starting from the submission stage and November 29, 2022, pitching day for the top 10 participants.
The idea put forward by the team from FPH UI is the SAKTI (Stunting Dapat Kita Atasi) application. This application is expected to play a role in accelerating the reduction in the incidence of stunting in Depok City with a focus on monitoring growth and development, nutritional intake, and parenting patterns. SAKTI has a user group segmentation feature, namely the “Parents and Children” group and the “Posyandu Cadres” group. This idea is also accompanied by a marketing strategy, funding, and business potential.
“We hope to work together with the Depok City Government and the Depok City Bappeda so that the SAKTI application can be realized and empower all Depok City people to be able to independently prevent stunting,” said Audrey Hanifa Putri, a team member from FPH UI.
The FPH UI students were guided by Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs at FPH UI who is also a Lecturer at the Department of Nutrition at FPH UI. Through the achievements of his students, Dr. Asih was also proud and conveyed her hopes. “This is one of the contributions from the campus to participate in solving the nation’s problems, especially stunting, whose prevalence is still high. This is a form of Pentahelix collaboration that we can contribute in the form of an application according to the current era of digitalization. The SAKTI application by FPH UI students can be used by mothers and cadres to monitor the growth of toddlers. Thus, we hope that early monitoring of children’s growth can be monitored properly to anticipate stunting incidents,” hoped Dr. Asih. (wrk)
