The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) has earned the title of Zone of Integrity (Zona Integritas) Corruption Free Area (WBK) since 2021. Based on these achievements, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) chose FPH UI to become the Locus of Monitoring and Evaluation of Vulnerable Group Friendly Facilities and Infrastructure in 2023 by the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatuses and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB). FPH UI is one of the five agencies representing the Ministry of Education and Culture. The other four agencies are the Integrated Services Unit, Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau; Center for Movement Teachers of West Java Province; Central Java Provincial Education Quality Assurance Center; and Center for Development of Quality Assurance for Vocational Education in the Electrical Building Sector.
As a preparatory stage, the Ministry of Education and Culture conducted monitoring and evaluation (monev) of the initial assessment by visiting FKM UI on Friday, March 31, 2023. During the monitoring and evaluation activity, the Ministry of Education and Culture conducted a visit as well as monitoring several facilities and infrastructure at FPH UI which were prepared to be able to serve the needs of vulnerable groups. The facilities and infrastructure visited included disabled toilet facilities, Faculty Service Units, Academic Administration Units, special disabled parking spaces, and other supporting facilities. In addition, the Ministry of Education and Culture also carried out a visit to the Makara TPA at the UI Faculty of Psychology. The Makara Child Development Park (TPAM) is a model of a daycare center that conforms to the principles of health and psychology for children aged 1-4 years at UI. This facility is also one of the assessments included in this monitoring and evaluation.
Apart from visits to various facilities and infrastructure, the Ministry of Education and Culture team and the team from FPH UI also held discussions in the FPH UI Professor Room. “This monitoring and evaluation activity will further complement the series of activities in our Integrity Zone program, where we were asked to represent UI to proceed to the Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM).
