As a faculty that provides education in the field of public health, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) does focus on not only the quality of student education and health promotion in the community but also the personal health of all members of the community and their extended family. On Wednesday, 7 December 2022, FPH UI inaugurated the Posbindu PTM (Integrated Development of Non-Communicable Diseases) Griseta (Griya Sehat Kita – Our Healthy Griya) in Hall A of FPH UI.
Posbindu PTM or Non-Communicable Diseases Integrated Development Post is the community’s participation in early detection and monitoring of the main NCD risk factors, which are carried out in an integrated, routine and periodic manner. Posbindu PTM is to increase community participation in preventing and early detection of PTM risk factors.
Posbindu PTM Griseta, owned by FPH UI itself, is a health self-sufficiency program where this program was initiated by FPH, implemented by FPH, and for FPH. “Griseta is one of the joint efforts to prevent various kinds of diseases in all FPH members. Everything starts from oneself, especially maintaining balanced nutrition in the food consumed. Because we are FPH, let’s take care of our health together and be an example for others,” said Deputy Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs at FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., at the launching of Griseta.
The health program implemented at Posbindu PTM Griseta includes checking blood pressure, blood sugar, gout, and nutritional consultation. This program will be carried out every 2 (two) months to monitor the health of all FPH UI members and extended family. At the inauguration of Griseta, joint gymnastics was also held for all FPH UI members and extended family as a place to get used to sports activities. (wrk)
