After going through a series of events for about 4 (four) months, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) Anniversary event officially ended with a series of top events on Saturday, November 5, 2022. This year’s FPH UI Anniversary with the theme “Be Part of World Collaboration for Improving Health, Safety, and Well Being” contains the hope that the FPH UI extended family will be consistent in efforts to improve health, safety, and well-being at the global level. The highlight of the event, which started with taichi and ended with cardio, was lively on UI Boulevard for approximately 8 hours. The highlight of the event was also marked by holding a bazaar filled with a variety of food, clothing, and souvenirs from eastern Indonesia.
The opening of the anniversary peak began with a report from the Chief Executive of the 57th FPH UI Anniversary, Capt. Muhammad Irwansyah, S.S.T., M.Mar., M.K.K.K., who is also Deputy Chairperson of Alumni Association (ILUNI) of FPH UI. Through his report, Capt. Irwansyah shared the excitement of the 57th FPH UI Anniversary events starting from webinars to competitions. At this year’s Anniversary, there is a new event that is featured in this series of activities, namely the FPH Moving Challenge, a virtual sports event. The FPH Moving Challenge was held with the aim of motivating people to be diligent in doing physical exercise or exercise to maintain body fitness and health. Even though it was only held this year, the enthusiasm received was quite large where there were more than 100 participants who participated.
Apart from Capt. Irwansyah, also present was the Chairman of the UI Alumni Association (ILUNI), Didit Hidayat Agripinanto Ratam, M.B.A., D.B.A., to give a speech. Didit expressed his hopes for FPH UI and invited FPH UI to continue to collaborate and synergize with ILUNI UI in spreading benefits.
There are 3 (three) values brought to the entire series of this year’s Anniversary, namely internationalization, entrepreneurship, and strengthening collaboration with alumni. That’s why this Anniversary was entrusted to ILUNI FPH UI for the first time. “For the first time, FPH UI entrusted the Anniversary to alumni friends,” said Prof. Mondastry. Through his remarks, Prof. Mondastri also conveyed the role of FPH in responding to various global challenges, “Digital technology challenges must be welcomed by all parties, we must move in harmony with global movement, and we must not ignore the role of FPH in that regard.”
Chancellor of the University of Indonesia, Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., in his remarks stated that the UI community members hoped that FPH UI could continue to have an impact on society. “Hopefully the existence of FPH will have more impact on society and the world by coordinating with various parties, both industry partners, the mass media, and the government. The community is waiting for a cutting-edge breakthrough from FPH UI as a form of real contribution that can be applied to people’s lives,” said the Chancellor of UI.
After the remarks, birthday wishes were shown to FKM UI from national figures and FPH UI alumni from various professions and from all over the world. These national figures are the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Sri Mulyani Indrawati, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D; The Indonesian Minister of Health, Ir. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, CHFC, CLU; Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, B.A., M.B.A.; and Faculty Deans, Graduate School Directors, and UI Vocational Program Directors.
In these remarks good wishes were conveyed. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia said that at the age of 57 this year, FPH UI is expected to continue building its reputation as a faculty that can increase its role in improving health and healthy habits in society and improving the health status of Indonesian people through healthy habits and lifestyle. Meanwhile, the Minister of Health expressed his appreciation and hopes for FPH UI. “Hopefully FPH UI will continue to excel and be able to continue to contribute in advancing the world of education and health in Indonesia. We express our appreciation and gratitude because FPH UI has become a very supportive partner of the Ministry of Health both during the pandemic and in efforts to transform Indonesia’s health. We hope that this partnership can continue so that all health problems in Indonesia can be quickly resolved, said the Indonesian Minister of Health, Ir. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, CHFC, CLU. In line with the remarks from the Minister of Finance and Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the Minister of SOEs expressed his congratulations and hopes that FPH UI will become an institution that excels in the field of public health and will continue to contribute and innovate in increasing community service and the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
In the series of events for the 57th FPH UI Anniversary, there was also a soft launch of “Guru Maya” by the main sponsor of the 57th FPH UI Anniversary, Pertamina Training Center (PTC). There is also a series of competitions consisting of poster competitions, pair make-up competitions, and family Fashion Shows. The event was also enlivened by the appearance of the FPH UI Got Talent Grand Finalist. The event was closed with a Cardio Dance Party by MufitID.
The pinnacle of FPH UI’s Anniversary is not the end, but the beginning of a new struggle for FPH UI at the age of 57. It is hoped that the various series of activities that have been carried out can ignite the enthusiasm of the FKM UI extended family in taking action and contributing to advancing health, safety and welfare at the global level. “Hopefully FPH UI will be more victorious with the development of its work in the international world,” concluded Prof. Mondastry.
