Barita Ompusunggu currently works as the Head of the Health Office of the City of Singkawang, West Kalimantan. The City Health Office of Singkawang shoulders the burden of the health sector. As the Head of Singkawang City Health Office, Barita Ompusunggu has to report to the Governor of the West Kalimantan Province through the Regional Secretary. He received his Master of Public Health degree from Universitas Indonesia in 2006.
