On 25-26 May 2023, the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI), Prof. dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc.; together with the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs at FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc., and Cooperation, Alumni Relations and Venture Manager of FPH UI, Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D., carried out a collaborative visit to three partner universities in Malaysia. The three universities visited were MAHSA University, Universiti Malaya and Universiti Putra Malaysia. This visit is one of FPH UI’s efforts to strengthen collaboration and faculty internationalization steps.
During the visit various topics related to higher education tridharma cooperation were discussed. Such as mobility programs, massive open online courses (MOOCS), and joint research and publications. “Hopefully what has been discussed together in these meetings can materialize and run smoothly so that our cooperation becomes even stronger,” said FPH UI Collaboration, Alumni Relations and Venture Manager, Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph. D.
The visit, which was carried out on May 25, 2023, was a visit to MAHSA University to accompany 5 students of the Environmental Health Undergraduate Study Program who took part in the student mobility program there. Apart from that, discussions were also held regarding plans for a reciprocal mobility program to be implemented at UI this year. At this meeting, from Mahsa University, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veronica Chua Poh Choo; Vice Dean and accompanying staff.
Meanwhile, visits to Universiti Malaya were held on 2 different days. On May 25, 2023, FPH UI leaders paid a visit to the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. The visit was attended by the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, namely the Professor of Occupational and Public Health, Prof. Dr. Victor Hoe Chee Wai; Deputy Executive Director (Research & Internationalization), Prof. Low Wah Yun and Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nirmala Bhoo Pathy. Meanwhile, on May 26, 2023, FPH UI leaders visited the Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. At this meeting, present from the Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya were the Dean, Prof. Dr. Zulqarnain Mohamed, Vice Dean, and Prof. Kenneth Fung. At the two meetings at Universiti Malaya, discussions were held regarding follow-up cooperation between UI and Universiti Malaya such as mobility program activities that will be implemented in the near future, discussions on the formation of massive open online courses (MOOCS) courses and expansion of student mobility program activities for all APACPH university members.
Another collaborative visit carried out by FPH was to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia on May 26, 2023. Present from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia on this visit were the Dean, Prof. Dr. Normala Ibrahim and staff. During this visit, a discussion was held regarding the student mobility program, prospects for joint research and publications and the continuation of research collaboration on sensors for measuring air in the environment with Prof. Drs. Bambang Wispriyono, Apt., Ph.D., Professor of the Department of Environment, FPH UI. (wrk)
