The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) continues to support the vision of Universitas Indonesia to become an entrepreneurial university. Related to this vision, FPH UI is again collaborating with the SOE Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Forum. This collaboration agreement extension was signed on Monday, September 19, 2022, in the FPH UI Doctoral Promotion Room.
“Thanks to the collaboration that has been established for the past one and a half years, FPH UI and the SOE QHSE Forum can continue to synergize, complement and support each other with the same caring spirit to develop knowledge, especially in the field of K3 (Occupational Safety and Health). FPH UI also always complements and supports each other with alumni partners, one of which is in the industrial sector to support UI towards an entrepreneurial university,” said the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., in his opening remarks. Apart from the Dean, FPH UI also attended the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Sc.; Cooperation Manager, Alumni and Venture Relations, Indri Hapsari Susilowati, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D.; Manager of Research and Community Service, Doni Hikmat Ramdan, S.K.M., M.K.K.K., Ph.D., Professor of FPH UI who was also in charge of the previous Dean, Prof. Dr. Sabarinah, M.Sc.; as well as two Lecturers of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, Dr. Robiana Modjo, S.K.M., M.Kes., and Dr. Hendra, S.K.M., M.K.K.K.
Furthermore, from the SOE QHSE Forum, the General Chairman, Ir. Subkhan, S.T., M.PSDA., IPM., who also gave a speech. “Collaborating with UI is like working with a world organization. This collaboration can combine noble values between the two parties for mutual benefit,” said Ir. Subkhan. Apart from the General Chairperson from the SOE QHSE Forum, there was also the Board of Trustees, who was also the General Chairperson for the previous period, Ir. Bimo Prasetyo, along with 7 officials from the SOE QHSE Forum.
The extension of the collaboration between FPH UI and the SOE QHSE Forum aims to improve and develop public health education and innovation, educate students with professionals in the field of public health by providing knowledge and skills through fieldwork practices and improve the quality of health services, and provide a real picture to students as prospective health professionals.
The scope of this cooperation covers 10 (ten) areas, namely: increasing the capacity of human resources in the field of public health; implementation of joint scientific forums, both national and international levels; the practice of field learning/internship and community service in the field of public health; utilization of information data for student and lecturer research; development/construction of facilities and infrastructure such as integrated laboratories, audiovisual rooms, smart classes, and alumni lounges; development of innovation and information media in the field of public health, utilization of CSR funds for student activities in FPH UI target areas; competency training and certification in the field of public health; implementation of the Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus curriculum in the field of public health; and joint venture management of both parties.
Previously, FPH UI had started collaborating with the SOE QHSE Forum by signing a cooperation agreement on January 15, 2020, in the area of efforts to improve the quality and capacity of human construction resources in the fields of occupational safety and health (K3), environmental health and public health.
