Three study programs at FPH UI have officially received international accreditation from AHPGS – Akcreditierungsagentur im Bereich Gesundheit and Soziales, Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences for a duration of up to 30 September 2028. The three study programs that have won AHPGS accreditation are the Public Health Undergraduate Study Program, Master of Public Health Study Program, and Master of Hospital Administration Studies.
International Accreditation is an important part in the management of higher education. International recognition can generate various benefits for students, lecturers, faculties, and universities. It is hoped that international recognition will facilitate the mobility of graduates to compete in the global job market, open up the mobility of staff and students around the world, and increase opportunities for educational and research collaborations in the international sphere. Realizing this opportunity, the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) underwent international accreditation by the International Accreditation Institute, AHPGS.
The field assessment by the AHPGS Assessor took place on 24-25 October 2022 for the Faculty of Public Health and the Faculty of Nursing. The assessment was carried out by five assessors namely Prof. Dr. Ute Gaidys from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences; Prof. Dr. Franz Hessel from SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences; Dr. Rolf Heusser from the University of Zurich, Switzerland; and Prof. Dr. Klaus Runggadier from the University of Applied Science and Medical University, Germany; and Leopold Beham as a Medical Student at the Technical University of Munich who will evaluate from a student’s perspective.
