The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI) officially welcomes new postgraduate students for the 2023/2024 academic year through a series of Faculties Academic System Introduction (PSAF) events with the theme “A Great Place to Be”. This year, FPH UI welcomed 427 postgraduate students consisting of 400 Masters students and 27 Doctoral students. PSAF activities were carried out for three days, consisting of Pre-PSAF on 5 August 2023 and PSAF on 12-13 August 2023.
Dean of FPH UI, Prof. dr. Mondastri Korib Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc., said that science is a glory, and public health is no exception. “Public health is a practical science. You can become an expert in the field of public health who can help improve the health status of the Indonesian people and contribute to extending life expectancy,” said Prof. dr. Mondastri in his speech. Prof. Mondastri hopes that new postgraduate students can make the most of the opportunity to study at the best campus in Indonesia.
The FPH UI Postgraduate Program PSAF activity was carried out for three days and consisted of several series of activities. There were several presentations of academic material which were carried out over two days, starting from materials for filling in the EMAS UI by the Education Administration Coordinator, Amalia Kuswarjanti, S.K.M.; Socialization of the Curriculum by the Vice Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs of FPH UI, Dr. Ir. Asih Setiarini, M.Sc.; Academic Unit Seminar by FPH UI Education Manager, Dr. Laila Fitria, S.K.M., M.K.M.; Socialization of Mental Health by Coordinator of UI Satellite Clinic Counseling Services, Ika Malika, M.Psi .; as well as a presentation on the services of the Research and Community Service Unit by the Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit, Nurdjanah Julistia, S.Kom., M.K.M.
The third day of PSAF was also filled with socialization of Pusinfokesmas; Free Learning Seminar, Free from Sexual Violence; Introduction to Email, SSO, and IT Facilities; as well as socialization of the Integrity Zone by the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.K.M., M.Si. In addition to academic intricacies, the PSAF Postgraduate Program also introduces student organizations, namely the FPH UI Postgraduate Student Association (HMP), FPH UI Student Representative Council (MPM), and FPH UI Student Executive Body (BEM). The PSAF activity was also livelier with the election of class leaders and challenges with prizes, such as twibbon competitions, Instagram reels competitions, and study program yells competitions.
