In 2022, FPH UI decided to implement and maintain the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and implement the ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP). These two quality management systems are important assets in the implementation of the Corruption-Free Integrity Zone (WBK) and the Clean Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM). As is known, FPH UI is again in the process of winning the title of the Clean Serving Bureaucracy Regional Integrity Zone (WBBM) whose assessment will be carried out in 2023.
Preparing for the implementation of SMAP ISO 3700:2016, training is needed as a start to improve the understanding of all staff at the Center of Administration of the Faculty (PAF) FPH UI regarding the Anti-Bribery Management System. On Thursday and Friday, July 28-29 2022, the ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System Awareness training was held in the PA 209 Meeting Room, RIK UI Building. The scope of the FPH UI SMAP Awareness Training participants includes the Dean, Deputy Deans, Faculty Secretaries, Managers, Coordinators and 1 staff from 14 subunits, and the FPH UI Integrity Zone team.
This training was opened by the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures and General Administration of FPH UI, Dr. Milla Herdayati, S.Si., M.Sc. “This meeting is a very important start to start the implementation of ISO 37001:2016. What, how, implementation and steps will be obtained today. ISO 37001:2016 strengthens FPH, complements the ISO that has been achieved previously and supports the better performance of FPH UI,” said Dr. Milla in her opening remarks. The presence of the leadership at this training shows the leadership’s commitment to the certification process which will be held in November 2022.
At the training aimed at increasing understanding of the application of the Anti-Bribery Management System, Muhammad Hatta Adam was present as a resource person. The training is divided into two stages, namely the first stage of awareness and the second stage is mentoring. In the first stage, materials related to the introduction and requirements of ISO 37001 were presented.
It is stated that ISO 37001 is an international standard for anti-bribery management systems published by the ISO international standardization agency. ISO 37001 is an international standard to determine the application of policies, procedures and organizational controls that are reasonable and proportionate in accordance with the bribery risk faced by the organization. “The general goal of implementing the ISO 37001:2016 standard is to help organizations implement a reasonable and proportionate design to prevent, detect and deal with bribery,” explained Muhammad Hatta Adam during the presentation of the material on the first day.
Furthermore, in the second stage, mentoring was carried out for the training participants to be able to deliver SWOT/TOWS analysis per division/function, stakeholder analysis per division/function, convey the targets and risks of bribery per division/function as well as due diligence for employees, partners work, and business partners.
At the end of this training session, participants are expected to be able to understand the motivation, types, risks and consequences of bribery to an organization, understand the steps for implementing the Anti-Bribery Management System in their organization, and understand the main requirements of ISO 37001:2016.
