The assessor of the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (IAAHEH) conducted a field assessment of the Undergraduate Study Program of Occupational Health and Safety at the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Universitas Indonesia (UI). This assessment is part of the Undergraduate Study Program of Occupational Health and Safety accreditation by IAAHEH. The two assessors present were Prof. Dr. drh. Ririh Yudhastuti, M.Sc., and Dr. Mohammad Zen Rahfiludin, S.K.M., M.Kes. Ririh and Zen arrived at FPH UI on Sunday, 19 June 2022, and conducted a two-day field assessment on 20-21 June 2022.
The process of accrediting the Undergraduate Study Program of Occupational Health and Safety has been going on for 6 (six) months, and the requirements files were closed in April 2022. The accreditation form is prepared by several parties, including the Head of the Undergraduate Study Program of Occupational Health and Safety, the Academic Quality Assurance Unit, and also the Faculty Leaders. The visits carried out aim to be a forum for discussion and a place for assessors to assess study programs directly.
The visitation was officially opened on Monday, 20 June 2022, with remarks by the Dean of FPH UI, Prof. Dr. Mondastri K. Sudaryo, M.S., D.Sc. After that, presentations on performance documents, self-evaluations, and discussions were presented. On the same day, group discussions were held with stakeholders, students, alumni, education staff, and non-structural lecturers. On the second day, observations of infrastructure and documents, filing, and submitting files to the Head of the Undergraduate Study Program of Occupational Health and Safety were carried out.
This visitation is the first offline visitation after two years of the pandemic. Visitations are carried out in a hybrid manner, especially for discussions with alumni and stakeholders. The hybrid discussion utilizes the innovative class, which was just inaugurated in early 2022. Smart Class is one of FPH UI’s innovations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This accreditation process is expected to be an effort to improve the quality of FPH UI. “Even though the results have not come out yet, I am pretty sure that the Undergraduate Study Program of Occupational Health and Safety FPH UI can get superior accreditation,” said Dian Wulandari, Coordinator of the FPH UI Academic Quality Assurance Subunit.
