The commitment of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) at the Universitas Indonesia (UI) to maintain the continuity of the service quality management system within the Faculty Administrative Center (PAF) is again demonstrated by the implementation of Surveillance ISO 9001:2015. Conducted in a mixed manner on 16 and 17 November 2022, the auditor from DQS Indonesia, Hariadi Alim, led the surveillance process.
One of the objectives of conducting a surveillance audit by a certification body is to check the sustainability of the implementation of the quality management system and to review and measure the effectiveness of the implementation of quality objectives in PAF. Surveillance is carried out by sampling to several work units in PAF FPH UI. On the first day the surveillance audit was carried out on top management, management system, Leadership and General Administration Secretariat Subunit, Education Administration Subunit, Student Affairs Subunit, and Collaboration Subunit, Alumni Relations, and Ventures. Meanwhile on the second day, a surveillance audit was carried out on the Research and Community Service Administration Subunit.
Based on the results of this surveillance audit, strength points were obtained, namely the SIAK NG system which has supported the automation of education administration, quality objectives that have been cascaded to units and personnel who are able to explain POB or its work processes. Meanwhile, action plans for opportunities for improvement (OFI) that need to be carried out by FPH UI based on audit results include: the addition of several details for POB Student Affairs Subunit and Research and Community Service Administration Subunit, the need for additional POB for Cooperation Subunit, Alumni and Venture Relations, Documents on risks and opportunities (risk and opportunity/risk management) need to be cascaded to units and evaluated and updated at least once a year, and each unit needs to make a list of quality records/quality records/records. These identified Opportunities for improvement (OFI) will be evaluated and/or corrected internally by PAF FPH UI and included in a continuous improvement process that is deemed beneficial.
In general, FPH UI has proven to be consistent in implementing the quality management system within its PAF environment. “Many positive things have been done extraordinarily. FPH UI’s human resources are extraordinarily strong, so they can maintain what has been achieved and carry out improvements,” said Hariadi Alim during the closing review meeting.
Based on the results during the 2-day surveillance audit, FPH UI is recommended to re-certify for maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 achievements in 2023. (wrk)
